Muscle Building Foods

MUSCLE BUILDING FOODS
LEAN MINCED OR GROUND BEEF
Do you think that bodybuilding champions of the past built their muscle mass and fine physiques on fancy sophisticated protein powders? No way...their diet was based on protein obtained from whole foods, mainly in the form of beef...which just happens to be high in creatine as well as protein. Because beef has no carbohydrates, and requires considerable metabolic energy to digest...it is also a great fat burning muscle building food. Professional bodybuilder Garrett Downing has found a way to prepare minced beef that suits both his muscle building/bodybuilding needs and is pleasing to the palate. Here's what he has to say..."I combine extra-lean ground sirloin with a packaged whole-grain mac-and-cheese meal from a health-food market. I prepare the mac and cheese as directed, omitting the butter and using fat-free milk. Then I brown the beef in a skillet using a fat-free spray, and combine the beef and the mac and cheese for a well-balanced and relatively low-fat meal. I complete it with a salad or steamed veggies on the side."
Lean beef remains at the top of the list of great muscle building foods because it not only provides quality protein and but also has creatine, iron, zinc, and B vitamins.
